Looking back on the memory of
the dance we shared, beneath the stars above.
For a moment all the world was right,
how was I to know that you'd ever say good bye?  
And now I'm glad I didn't know
the way it all would end, the way it all would go.
Our lives are better left to chance,
I could have missed the pain,
but I'd have had to miss the dance.

To all those who knew her, Ginger has always been the diva. The epitome of regal disdain and complete unconcern for what anyone thought of her. Fortunately, many judges thought a great deal of her and she had many group wins and placements in her career. She was twice #1 Borzoi in Canada and was never out of the Top 5 any year she was shown.  She showed a great aptitude for the field also, but an accident, caused when a lure operator stopped the lure, causing her to fall awkwardly, ended any hope of titles in that area. The show ring was where she excelled, always "on" and showing her exceptional movement, she had specialty wins including BOS at the prestigious Ontario Sighthound Association show and an AOM at Borzoi Ontario. When Espen Engh judged her at OSA (shown above), he told me that what he loved about her was that, when he approached her, she looked him square in the eye and said, "I spit on your shoes" - now THAT'S a diva, and that was my Ginger.
