This fine young hound is the image of his late sire who was #1 borzoi in Canada, winning many groups and going BISS at the Trillium Borzoi Specialty under sighthound specialist Jocelyn Gagne. Opi has had a distinguished career in the U.S., winning the group at Beverly Hills and defeating many of the top ranked hounds in the U.S. Although Lucie loves Opi, she feels he has done it all in California and it's time for him to make his mark elsewhere, so she has entrusted him to me to continue his career. I hope I can make her proud. He will be handled by Graeme Burdon here in Canada, so watch for him in the hound ring! He also adds some interesting pedigree components to my mix, bringing in some lovely Radozny and Rising Star dogs and also some old Seabury, including Damon. His dam's grandsire is one of my all time favourite Stonebar Sebastian sons, Rising Star's Durak of Sunbarr, so Opi should provide some interesting additions to the mix here at Sirovna. I am so grateful to Lucie and Dan for this beautiful dog. I feel, at last, that I am able to make it up, in some small way, to his sire for his having to go back to his breeder where he died an unfortunate death. Opi will do his sire proud and continue the legacy started here by the beautiful Ray.
