MULTI GROUP WINNING
BISS CAN.AM. CH. AVIANN OCCUM'S RAZOR
(Ch. Aviann Darkwing Dagger x Ch. Aviann Veiled Enigma)
Bred & Owned by Viann Clements
Friend, please don't
mourn for me
I'm still here, though you don't see.
I'm right by your side each night and day
and within your heart I long to stay.
My body is gone but I'm always near.
I'm everything you feel, see or hear.
My spirit is free, but I'll never depart
as long as you keep me alive in your heart.

Ray, winning BISS at the Trillium Borzoi Canada Specialty under sighthound
breeder
Jocelyne Gagne
Although I never owned Ray, nor did I breed a litter
sired by him, I did keep him and show him for almost three years. During this
time, I finished his Canadian and American championships, had many specialty
wins, group wins and placements and also showed him to #1 borzoi in the country,
a feat that mirrored his litter sister Ginger's two-time wins.
More than a great dog, Ray was a wonderful companion and one of the sweetest
and gentlest dogs you would ever want to meet. I miss his toothy grin greeting
me every morning as he led the others into the paddock for their daily exercise.
Soon after Ray went back to his breeder, he began to have a series of health
problems which ultimately resulted in his death about a year or so after he
returned to her. I didn't have any contact from the breeder, so I am not sure
exactly when he died or what he died of, but, except for a chronic prostate
condition which he arrived here with, he was in perfect health when he left. It
broke my heart to think of him dying like that, as I had many communications
with other borzoi people who reported seeing him in bad condition, thin, in poor
coat and obviously not happy.
As you can see by the photo above and others on these pages, this was not the
case when he was in my care. I wish I could have saved him, but there was
nothing I could do. You are in a good place now, my big Ray-man, I miss
you. Always in my heart.
